Regulation of Tamnava river

On Friday 8 October 2010. year, work started on the regulation of river Tamnava a length of nearly 6 km. The works will be carried out on the river from km 13 km 19 700 to 364th The contractor is a consortium Porr – Inter-Koop, who make up Austria’s “Poor Tehnobau und Umwelt Akteingesellschaft” and company “Inter-Koop d.o.o.” Šabac. It is anticipated that the works last 15 months.

U.S. Helps Ub to Mitigate Flood Damage

The U.S. Embassy in Belgrade, through USAID and the U.S. Office of Defense Coordination have been working with the Serbian Ministry of Interior’s Sector for Emergency Management to help the Municipality of Ub recover from the worst flooding in the Municipality’s recorded history.

Ub at the SPREG Fair

Seventh Fair of Economy of Kolubara region (SPREG) took place in Valjevo in the period from 16 to 18 June, and this year brought together over 120 companies. Municipality of Ub, with support from Department for economic development, was represented by Agromax, Termoštampa, AD Kopovi and Hunters Association “Tamnava”. Along with them, there were numerous entrepreneurs from Kragujevac, Pozarevac, Zrenjanin, Sremska Mitrovica and Pancevo, which performed together with their regional chambers of commerce.

7th session of Municipal Assembly

On Thursday, 17 December 2009. was held on 7th Session of Municipal Assembly Ub.  During the work on the proposed agenda, the Assembly adopted:

DILS Project

Representatives of Ministry of health, local government and Medical center of Ub have recently signed an agreement on cooperation in implementing the project “Delivery of Improved Local Services”. The project is funded by the World Bank with 32 million euros, of which 12.5 million are in place through the ministries of health and education, and the rest through the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy. According to the plan, health care facilities in 157 municipalities will be donated with  37.5 thousand euros each for the promotion of information technology and networking.

New Union president elected

Slobodan Jovičić is new president of the Union of municipal government’s workers . He was elected yesterday along with Slavica Maletić, deputy president and Dušanka Todorović & Radovan Atlić as a Union Board.

1.4M dinars for the Kindergarden

Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia, No. 94 of 12 November 2009. , published a decision on the allocation of funds by Public call for a the allocation of funds earmarked from the budget of income that is realized organizing games of chance, and used to finance local Government of 13 August 2009. year.

From the resources that are provided by organizing games of chance, and used to finance local government , approved funding local government units, namely :  Municipality UB 1,400,000.00 dinars for project of upgrading the building of  Kindergrden Ub.

Mayor Vladislav Krsmanovic will sign the contract of the money transfer.

Cooperation Ub – Århus

In Friday, November the 20th, representatives of the Municipality of Ub had a meeting with Mr Fleming Meyer, Senior Consultant at the Department of Employment of Municipality of Århus, the second largest town in Denmark. Serbian Standing Conference of the Towns and Municipalites mediated in preliminary contact of these two future partners.
